Runcorn Town FC Official Website - Cheshire FA Youth Match Report

A youthful Runcorn Town XI defeated Cheshire FA Youth on Tuesday evening with Aarron Brown continuing his hot streak by grabbing both Town goals.

Town were approached for the game by Cheshire FA as they build up to their game in the Northern Counties Youth Cup next Saturday. Town fielded a side made up of mostly young players from both the first and reserve sides.

After a goalless first half where Town carved out some great scoring opportunites, Brown gave Town the lead as he latched on to a through pass from the impressive Tyson Eyo and slotted past the keeper.

Brown then doubled the lead shortly after when he headed home at the second attempt after his first effort was blocked, with Eyo again setting up the goal.

Cheshire got back into the game with a well worked goal and they could have grabbed an equaliser late on but for a great save by Town's Ste Whitfield.

Town would like to thank Cheshire FA for the game which was a credit to both teams.
