MATCH REPORT
Tony Wynne notched his first hat-trick for Runcorn Town as three second half goals set up a fantastic 4-0 away victory at Heswall.

Town went close in the opening minute when a clearance from the keeper fell to Ste Latham 45-yards from goal and his first time effort went just wide.

Playing some good passing football on a quality pitch, Town eventually took the lead after 18 minutes when Latham found Warren Bellew on the left and his cross was headed into the goal by Wynne.

Heswall then came into the game more with Town thankful for Karl Wills in goal who made some good saves to keep them in from. The best chance though fell to Town from a rare counter attack on the half hour when Bellew's left Wynne with just the keeper to beat but he saw his shot saved.

The second half saw Heswall start the stronger but two goals in two minutes on the hour effectively ended the game as a contest. First Bellew played in Wynne who saw his shot saved but the forward was first to react to the rebound to score.

Then after 61 minutes Emini Adegbenro won the ball on the halfway line and played in Jon McEvoy on the right with his low cross turned in by Wynne for his third.

Town should have increased the lead after this with Bellew seeing two good efforts saved by the keeper and Wynne hit the bar with a header from a McEvoy cross.

The fourth goal arrived with ten minutes remaining from James McShane who had only been on the field 30 seconds before scoring. Latham played the ball into him with his first touch setting him clear of the defence, and he found the top right hand corner of the net.
