Tom impressed when guesting for the Runcorn Town youth team of 05/06 in the Mark Gorry foundation tournament and was asked to sign for the reserves on the strength of his performances for the 2010/11 season, making his debut when coming off the bench in the home win against Maine Road reserves, work commitments slowed down his progress but he made his first start ironically against the same team in the reverse fixture scoring his first goal for the club in this match.
Tom is a really intelligent player with good feet who can play midfield or striker he has an eye for goal and a pass and will benefit from training with the club to increase his general fitness which is seen as the only thing which could hold back his progress.
