A Central defender Barry joined Town from Moorfield in the Warrington and District League at the start of the 2009/10 season, making his debut on the opening day for the Reserves at home to Richmond Raith Rovers at centre back.

He is a strong defender who reads the game excellently and marshalls the defence very well, Barry has subsequently been redeployed as a right back, a position which suits his style of play and physical attributes to greater effect this switch saw Barry establish himself firmly as the first choice for the reseves throughout season 2009/10, and hopefully he will maintain this form into the future.
