Greg signed from Widnes side Cronton Villa at the start of the 2008/09 season having previously been at Conference outfit Altrincham.

Solid performances in his early games for the club quickly established Greg as one of the first choice centre backs, and he has remained so ever since.

Greg made his debut against Ellesmere Port in the opening day of the season, with his first goal coming against rivals Halton in only his third game.

He reads the game very well and is very good in the air as well as on the ground.
