Player Profile
Simon played for the club in its Mond Rangers days before being snapped up by Bamber Bridge in the Unibond League.
He then played for quite a few clubs at a good level of non-league football including Witton Albion and Skelmersdale United. He even went abroad to play his football when Colwyn Bay scouts spotted him!
He eventually drifted out of senior non-league football, and returned to the club in November 2007 from Cronton Villa in Widnes.
He scored on his debut by grabbing the last goal in an 8-0 drubbing of Ashville and has been finding the net on a regular basis since. He is a tall and commanding forward and makes his presence known up front which rewards with his fair share of goals and assists.
He became the clubs' Assistant Manager at the start of the 2008/09 season alongside Nick Armitage. Having gained experience, was appointed to his first managerial position when Armitage resigned one season later, and has won two promotions in his two seasons in charge.
