UNDER 15'S RETURN WITH WIN OVER HALEWOOD
Runcorn Under 15s came up against Halewood Juniors today at a windy Jerico Lane. After a long winter break Runcorn were raring to go. From the first whistle Runcorn got well into their stride and in the blustery conditions produced some great football. It wasn’t long before the prolific goal scorer Chris Ellams made the score 1-0. Runcorn continued to put pressure on Halewood and then a 2nd goal came from Nathan Benjamin making the score 2-0 at half time.

Runcorn came out for the second half ready to attack and not before long a wonder goal was scored by Defender James Tierney but unfortunately it was in his own net. Halewood thought they were back in it but with a quick response by Chris Ellams made the score 3-1 to Runcorn. Not long after the reliable Chris Ellams went on to score his hatrick with a wonderful run and finish Runcorn 4-1. Runcorns captain David Partington produced a brilliant display in midfield and could of made it 5 -0 but only for a brilliant save by the Halewood Goal Keeper.

A well deserved win for Runcorn Town well done to all the boys.
