TOWN DEFEAT LINNETS IN DERBY MATCH
Runcorn Town emerged victorious in the first Runcorn Derby against Runcorn Linnets, 3-2 the final scoreline.

In front of a record crowd of 547, the best in the NWCL this season, James McShane put Town ahead after just six minutes. Two goals in five minutes at the start of the second half gave Town a 3-0 lead, with Rob Whyte pulling one back for Linnets with 20 minutes left.

Paul Prescott ensured it would be a nervous last few minutes with Linnets' second in the 90th minute, but Town held on to claim all three points.
