RESERVES STUTTER AGAINST BARNTON

Runcorn Town Reserves had to settle for a share of the spoils in the local derby with Barnton in the Cheshire League at Pavilions.

Town took the lead after 53 minutes when Robbie Gorry's defence splitting ball found Adam Horrocks who made no mistake with a right footed effort at the near post.

The home side had the majority of possession but struggled to create clear cut chances, the closest coming when the post was rattled from a free kick.

Sam Birchall equalised for Barnton with 20 minutes remaining.
