Runcorn Town Reserves progressed through to the Semi Finals of the Cheshire League Division Two Cup after a 4-1 victory over Daten.
Manager Kenny Craig made two changes from the 7-2 victory over Malpas the previous week. Emini Adegbenro was recalled to the First Team squad after scoring five the previous week with Ryan Malone replacing him, with Robbie Gorry making his first start since the opening day of the season.
Town got off the perfect start with Malone giving them the lead after just 12 minuted. He cut in from the left hand side before curling in a left footed shot to the far corner from 20-yards. Just before the half hour Jack Burbridge made it two when his left foot shot squeezed in the near post from just inside the box.
The instructions at half time were to try and find the third goal that would effectively end the game as a contest, and it arrived just two minutes in when a good team move was finished off with Ste Horrocks tapping home from close range.
Daten pulled one back after 55 minutes, but Burbridge restored the three goal cushion within a couple of minutes with a shot from close range to make it 4-1.
Town will face Sandbach United at home in the Semi-Final in January after they defeated Congleton Town Reserves 7-1. In the other Semi, Moore United will host Whaley Bridge after they defeated Crewe and Whitchurch Alport respectively.
