MCSHANE CONTINUES STREAK, RESERVES BEAT MANOR
James McShane hit his ninth goal in five West Cheshire League games as Town drew 1-1 at Heswall.

The first half was played at a tremendous pace with both defences in good form. Robinson mishit a shot when well placed for the home team, with Robbie Moore heading wide for Town. Heswall took the lead after 57 minutes when Tom Rowlands rounded Town keeper Wills and scored from a narrow angle.

Town's equaliser arrived in the 73rd minute when McShane side footed in Paul Illidge's left wing cross, and McShane could have grabbed a second minutes later but shot straight at the keeper after another break down the left. Will Dolan could have won it with his free kick going just over, but Town manager Nick Armitage was satisfied with a point at the final whistle.

Meanwhile Town Reserves ended Manor Athletic's unbeaten start to the season with a great win at Pavilions. Pete Murphy put Town ahead after 54 minutes with a header from a right wing corner, and Paul Hart grabbed two in two minutes late in the game.

In the 74th minute Ged Bushell played in Hart who advanced to the box, cut inside the last defender and shot into the top right-hand corner. The third saw Danny Cummins play in Hart, who then advanced into the box and shot under the keeper.
