TOWN UP TO THIRD AFTER WIN Runcorn Town climbed up to third place in the North West Counties League Premier Division after a comfortable 3-0 victory at AFC Liverpool.Danny Dalton gave Town an early lead when a Warren Bellew corner from the right was cleared back to him, with the winger putting in a perfect delivery to find Dalton in the box. The defenders first header was saved but he made no mistake with the rebound as he found the top corner of the net. The second arrived on 43 minutes with James McShane grabbing his 16th goal of the season. Ste Williams lost possession in midfield to Mark Keddie who found Jason Carey on the left. He showed great awareness to play it first time into McShane who advanced towards goal before finding the bottom left corner of the net. AFC came out for the second half in determined fashion and tested Karl Wills with a couple of efforts, but Town killed any chance of a comeback with their third on the hour mark. Ste Latham played a ball down the right hand line with Mark Brown slipping to let Leon Williams in. He advanced goalwards, cut inside the last defender and fired into the net for his first goal in Town colours.
