TOWN INTO PYKE CUP SEMI-FINALS
Runcorn Town progressed through to the Semi-Finals of the Pyke Cup after a 3-1 win over Marine Reserves at Pavilions. Three goals in 11 first half minutes were enough for Town, with James McShane grabbing two and Aarron Brown the other.

Marine were given a lifeline at the start of the second half with Town having two sent off. First Joe Davies was dismissed for a late challenge with Robbie Moore following him five minutes later for "deliberate" handball in the penalty area.

Ste Williams slotted home the penalty to make it 3-1 but despite having half an hour against nine men, Marine rarely tested Ste Sheakey in goal. Town now face Poulton Vics who beat Heswall 2-0 today in a 2-legged Semi-Final in January.

Meanwhile Town Reserves put in yet another fantastic performance to win 4-2 at Bronze Social. Danny Cummins netted twice with Craig Beech and Pete Murphy also on target. Lee Forsyth and Shaun Mooney scored for Bronze. One other result from today was Manor and Mossley Hill drawing 0-0 which is good news for Town at the top of the table.
