TOWN LOSE AT FLIXTON Runcorn Town put in a below par performance as they lost 2-0 at Flixton, with the hosts returning to the top of the table after the win.Town struggled early on to get to grips with the state of the Valley Road pitch, with Flixton capitalising by opening the scoring after 11 minutes. A shot from Wayne Welbeck from the edge of the box was parried by Karl Wills into the path of Chris Smith, with the forward slotting the ball into the net. It got worse four minutes later with Town gifting Flixton a second goal. Centre back Danny Dalton stood on the ball allowing Smith a one-on-one with Wills, with Smith grabbing his second of the game with a cool finish.
