TOWN BEAT HALTON IN RUNCORN CUP

Runcorn Town progressed through to the Quarter-Final of the Runcorn FA Cup after a 2-1 win over Halton FC at Picow Farm Road.

Simon Burton and Will Dolan grabbed goals in each half to put Town in control with John McDonald's goal four minutes from time making it a nervous last few minutes. However Town saw the game out with few problems to progress into the next round.

Meanwhile Town Reserves beat St Werburghs 5-1 at Pavilions to stay second in West Cheshire Three. Peter Murphy, Ged Bushell, Mark Tummon, Danny Cummins, and Dave Jolley grabbed the goals.
