TOWN WIN AT GLOSSOP

Runcorn Town pulled off a superb 1-0 victory at Glossop North End with a goal in first half stoppage time proving the difference between the two sides.

After Emini Adegbenro was fouled on the left wing, Scott Burton delivered a free kick into the box that the home goalkeeper failed to deal with. Danny Dalton rose to head the ball goalwards and it hit the underside of the bar before going into the net off a defender.

The second half saw a tremendous defensive peformance from Town, with Glossop's Elliot going closest to equalising with a header against the bar. At the other end, the closest Town came was Tom Rutter's cross from the right which also bounced off the bar before being cleared.
