CONGLETON HIT BACK TO TAKE POINT
Runcorn Town threw away a half time lead for the second successive match, with two second half goals giving Congleton a share of the spoils.

James McShane continued his impressive scoring streak, his 11th minute penalty following a foul on Ryan Malone ensuring he has scored in every match this season.

McShane grabbed his second goal just before half time, this time capitalising on a poor defensive header to round the keeper and slot into the empty net.

Congleton came out for the second half in determined mood and pulled a goal back three minutes in. Artjoms Butorins got in behind the defence and slotted past Karl Wills to halve the defecit.

With the game opening up, both sides had chances, with the home side given a penalty of their own after 66 minutes. Kurtis Gill made no mistake from the spot to equalise.

Town could have won it late on but were stopped by the woodwork twice. First Scott Burton rattled the right hand post with the ball flying across goal, then Darren Kinsey danced his way into the box before curling a right footed effort against the corner of post and bar.
