TOWN CLIMB TO THIRD PLACE
Runcorn Town made it ten goals in their last two North West Counties League games to move up to third place in the Premier Division after a 4-1 victory over Stone Dominoes at Pavilions.

Jason Carey put Town ahead after just three minutes from close range after Danny Dalton headed down Scott Burton's free kick from the left.

Town went on to miss a host of chances with Ryan Malone, Carey and James McShane all guilty of missing what would be classed as simple finishes.

The second goal finally arrived after 54 minutes Ryan Malone got clear down the right and crossed low for McShane to power home from close range.

And the game was over as a contest 13 minutes later with McShane moving to the top of the goalscoring charts with his fifth goal of the season. Stone's keeper took a free kick from the edge of his box to the centre half who was not paying attention, with McShane curling the ball back into the empty net.

Stone reduced the defecit on 78 minutes with Omar Mahmoud finishing high past Karl Wills from just inside the box after the defence failed to clear their lines.

However Emini Adegbenro had the last word and restored the three goal lead in the 81st minute, Ste Latham setting him up to finish.
