LIVERPOOL FA COMEBACK TO BEAT TOWN
Runcorn Town gave a tremendous account of themselves as they went down 4-2 to the Liverpool County FA Representative side at .

Town were asked for the game by the home side as they warmed up for their last 16 clash in the National League System Cup. This will take place on 17th November at Workington FC's Borough Park, home of Cumberland FA.

The home side got off to the better start and went ahead after 13 minutes from the penalty spot after a mistake from Danny Dalton, however Town quickly came back into the game with Kyle Hamid pulling us level with a shot into the top corner from the edge of the box after good work by James McShane.

Town then took the lead with a stunning 30-yard strike from Ian Robinson which went in off the underside of the bar with the keeper given no chance, and rode out the rest of the half comfortably with chances to increase the lead.

Liverpool FA came back into it at the start of the second half scoring early on, and with Nick Armitage keen to use the game to look at some fringe and reserve team players, Town's shape altered as changes were made.

Two more goals followed for Liverpool FA which gave the scoreline a slightly undeserved look, however given the quality of the opposition, Town can be proud of their efforts as they warmed up for Saturday's big derby game at Halton in the Runcorn Cup.

Runcorn Town would like to thank Liverpool FA for the opportunity of the game, and wish the league the best of luck for the season in the NLS Cup.
