GOVAN AWAITS IN AMATEUR CUP

Runcorn Town Reserves will travel away to Lancashire & Cheshire League side Govan Athletic in the First Round of this season's Cheshire Amateur Cup.

Govan were established in 2001 in the Stockport League Division One, achieving promotion in their first season to the Lancashire & Cheshire League.

Two seasons ago they won promotion to the top flight of that league but struggled last season, finishing second to bottom and getting relegated to Division One.

They play at the University Sports Ground in Wythenshaw. The game will be played on Saturday 17th September 2011, kick off 3.00pm.
