ARMITAGE APPOINTED MANAGER
Runcorn Town FC are pleased to announce the appointment of Nick Armitage as manager following the departure of Peter Nolan to Prescot Cables.

Nick is a proven manager at this level having won all there is to win at Step 7 level in the neighbouring Mid-Cheshire League. His silverware whilst in a three year spell at Barnton manager included two Mid-Cheshire league championships and two Mid-Cheshire Challenge Cups, as well as the coveted Cheshire Amateur Cup in 2003/04.

He was also manager of the Mid-Cheshire Representative side that won the Cooper Smith Trophy in 2004/05, however his biggest win was the previous season when he managed the Mid-Cheshire to the inaugural National League Systems Cup. This led to the team representing England in the 2004 UEFA Regions Cup in Slovenia and Bosnia.

More recently he has been manager at Warrington Town of the Unibond League Division One South, and has dropped down to West Cheshire level as he shares the vision of the committee for taking the club up to North West Counties level.

The first league game in charge for Nick was last Saturday's clash at home to Ashville, with Town running out 8-0 winners to stay top of West Cheshire League One
