BOTH TEAMS GRIND OUT WINS
The two senior teams at Runcorn Town ground out good wins in Saturday's pre-season games with the First Team winning 2-1 at Chadderton and the Reserves winning 3-2 at home to Billinge.

Chadderton gave Town two good games in NWCL Division One last season, and the game on Saturday was no exception. It was the home team who went ahead after just ten minutes with Town equalising two minutes from half time with John Ellias' free kick finding the net.

The winner came in the 67th minute through Ryan Malone who put in another good performance.

Billinge took the lead at Pavilions after 32 minutes with Mike Chesters fine solo run and pinpoint finish equalising for Town. In the second half Billinge retook the lead with Scott Swales getting on the end of a long ball from the back to finish.

The winner came late in the match when Dean Ramanouski's ball from the left was brought down by Swales on his chest before blasting it past the keeper.
