Runcorn Town's preparations for their first North West Counties Premier League campaign began with a 3-3 draw at West Cheshire League One side Marshalls.
Town were behind after eight minutes but a very new looking Town, full of triallists and reserves, were back on terms after 20 minutes from Jason Carey's header.
The home side went back in front after 34 minutes with Clint Burton equalising for Town for the second time five minutes later.
Mass changes were made at half time with Town taking the lead five minutes into the second half with a great solo run and finish from Warren Bellew who was taken off with a nasty looking injury as he made the finish.
Marshalls equalised to make it 3-3 four minutes later, with the game proving a good run out to blow off the cobwebs after two months without a game for most players.
