FA CUP DEBUT AGAINST BRIGHOUSE

Runcorn Town will mark their debut in the FA Cup with a home tie against Baris Northern Counties East League Premier Division side Brighouse Town.

The two sides almost faced off last season in the FA Vase with Brighouse beaten after a replay by Eccleshill United, with Eccleshill then facing Town.

The Extra-Preliminary Round tie will be played on Saturday 20th August, 3.00pm kick off.

Ironically the winners of this tie could be travelling to Eccleshill United in the following round, with Congleton Town or Eccleshill facing the winners in the Preliminary Round.

Should we get through two rounds, then we will travel to Evo-Stik Premier League side Ashton United in the First Qualifying Round.

Meanwhile due to our success in last years competition, we are exempt until the Second Round of the FA Vase, which will be drawn later in the year.
