The main news from the North West Counties League AGM, which was held at Blackpool this morning, is the surprise promotion of AFC Liverpool to the Premier Division.
Rossendale United's troubles have continued as they have been excluded from both divisions, meaning that Ashton Athletic have won a reprieve for the second successive season.
Formby though have also been demoted which has resulted in a vacancy in the Premier Division, and after Holker Old Boys turned down the opportunity to move up, Liverpool were only too happy to accept.
