MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL COMES TO TOWN

Monday Night Football will be coming to Pavilions following the clubs' promotion into the North West Counties League Premier Division.

Prior to the season each club has to inform the league of their preferred midweek date, with Town opting to try out a Monday for the forthcoming season.

The reason for this is to hopefully increase attendances at midweek matches which were noticeably down on Saturday games last season.

Although there is one Monday night match on ESPN, Monday night games will avoid clashes with televised games such as England Internationals, Champions League or weeks when there is a full FA Premier League programme.

The Runcorn Bowls League is also in full flow on a Tuesday, with a number of our supporters playing for various teams throughout the league (including Peter Burton who had a cracking 21-5 victory over his opponent at Manley last week!)
