RESERVES SEEK NEW MANAGER
Runcorn Town Reserves are looking for a new manager after Rod Looker tendered his resignation following yesterday's 5-2 win over Crewe in the final game of the season.

Rod has been in charge for the last four seasons, but his association with the club goes back much further. He had a couple of spells playing for the club in his playing days before moving into management.

He was manager of the all conquering Reserve team which went two season's unbeaten in the Chester League in the late 90's before taking over as First Team manager in West Cheshire League One for a number of seasons.

After a break from football, he returned as Youth Team manager in 2005/06, winning the League Cup and runners up in the Altrincham League. In his 25 games he lost just 6 times, winning 16 and drawing 3, whilst scoring 86 and conceding 43.

He then took over the Reserves once more at the start of the 2007/08 season, and has managed the team for 129 games including the West Cheshire Shield win over Richmond Raith Rovers. Of these he has won 76, drew 16 and lost 37, scoring 363 goals and conceded 215. He also set the club's then record win which was 14-0 against Southport Trinity Reserves in February 2010.

Rod has cited that he has taken the team as far as he can, and would like to thank all players who have played under him during his spell. He will remain at the club as a committee member.
