LATE MCSHANE GOAL KEEPS HOPES ALIVE
A late goal from record breaking striker James McShane kept alive Runcorn Town's slim Championship hopes after a 1-0 win over AFC Liverpool at Pavilions.

In front of a bumper Easter Monday crowd of 127, McShane swooped to head in Scott Burton's corner after 78 minutes to record his 40th goal of the season in as many games played.

Despite AFC Blackpool hitting the woodwork three times at Atherton Colleries yesterday, a goalless draw was enough to put them six points clear of Town with just two games left. The Mechanics need just a point from away games at Holker (Wednesday) and Liverpool (Saturday) to clinch the title.
