PREMIER DIVISION AWAITS MECHANICS

Barring an amazing goal swing, AFC Blackpool will be playing Vodkat Premier Division football next season after tonight's solitary result in Vodkat League Division One.

Despite losing a two goal lead in the last ten minutes, Ashley Kelly's 90th minute goal gave Irlam a 3-2 victory over Holker Old Boys, with the Cumbrians defeat meaning that they are unable to catch Blackpool's current points tally of 71 points.

Chadderton are the only team that could reach the same number of points as Blackpool, but Blackpool have a better goal difference of +36 with just six games remaining (five for Chadderton).

Tonight's result also means that Town need just four points from the next six matches to secure a second successive promotion, and it could happen this coming Saturday should we beat Cheadle Town and Chadderton fail to win at Wigan Robin Park.
