TOWN SEEK NEW MANAGER West Cheshire League pacesetters Runcorn Town are seeking applicants for a new First Team manager after the shock resignation of manager Peter Nolan.
Nolan, who led Town to promotion last season and to the top of the West Cheshire League this season, has moved up the footballing pyramid to become assistant manager to Andy Gray at Prescot Cables. He leaves Town fourth in the West Cheshire League, three points behind the leaders with two games in hand. Town are also still in every cup competition. Town press officer Martin Fallon said "Peter has brought together a great set of players who share in the clubs aim of progressing up the leagues and we feel that this group of players are more than capable of helping us achieve our aims, Whilst disappointed with his decision, we wish Peter all the best in his new role and thank him for his work in laying down a solid foundation for the next man to build on. "We are now seeking a manager who has the experience and desire to carry on the good work at the club and to help the club push on to a higher grade of football." Applicants should ideally have proven managerial experience at West Cheshire / Mid Cheshire Division One level or above.
