TOWN OVERCOME ROCHDALE Runcorn Town edged a step nearer to promotion as they extended their unbeaten Vodkat League run to 16 games with a 3-0 win at Rochdale Town. Despite not registering a win all season, Rochdale were the better side in the first half and only some poor finishing prevented them from taking the lead. Town's recent defensive woes continued with Andy Morgan and Ste Latham both hobbling off. The opening goal arrived after 40 minutes with Ian Robinson outjumping Rochdale's keeper to reach Jason Carey's cross, with Robinson stroking the ball into the empty net. James McShane doubled the lead after 52 minutes with a cool finish from inside the box after Robinson player him in. McShane hit his 2nd of the game and 34th of a fantastic season after 74 minutes with another great finish after Connor Anderson cleverly played him in. Full report to follow...
