BYRNE OUT FOR THE SEASON

Runcorn Town's promotion hopes have been rocked with the news that defender Greg Byrne has been ruled out for six months after sustaining a serious injury yesterday.

Greg went in for a challenge with an opponent, with the outcome being that Greg has fractured his tibia, dislocated his ankle and sustained ligament damage.

He underwent successful surgery yesterday, but will be out of action for some time. Everyone at the club wishes him the best of luck in his recovery.
