TOWN SLUMP AGAINST MOORE

Runcorn Town Reserves slumped to their fourth successive defeat with Moore United leapfrogging Town in Cheshire League Division Two after a 2-0 win at Pavilions.

Moore looked livelier from the start but it was Town who went closest in a goalless first half with Dave Roberts' shot from 25-yards rebounding off the crossbar.

Ten minutes into the second half Moore took the lead through Leigh Marsden, with David Hughes wrapping up the points with a couple of minutes left when a mix up in defence gave him a simple finish.
