Runcorn Town's registered yet another high scoring victory at Pavilions as James McShane's hat-trick helped Town to a 5-0 home victory over Ashton Town.
Town went ahead after 11 minutes with Tony Wynne slotting home from close range after McShane was twice denied, first by the left hand post and then by the keeper.
Andy Morgan doubled the lead after 31 minutes after heading in unmarked from Warren Bellew's free kick from the left hand side, with McShane making it three from the spot after 35 minutes after Wynne was felled in the box.
The second half got off to the perfect start with McShane increasing the lead just four minutes in with a wonderful shot from just inside the area that went in off the right hand post. Vodkat League One's leading scorer should have made it five two minutes later as he held off a defender and rounded the keeper but hit the post with the goal at his mercy.
Town continued to miss chances throughout the half with Jason Carey unlucky not to get on the end of a McShane cross, Adegbenro shooting wide when well placed and another cross from the left deflected over the bar.
The final goal arrived after 88 minutes with McShane grabbing his hattrick after racing onto Adegbenro's through ball before slotting past the keeper. It was Town's fourth hat-trick in seven games, with McShane improving his ratio to more than a goal a game with 28 goals from 27 games this season.
