TOWN CLOSE GAP AT THE TOP Runcorn Town closed the gap on leaders AFC Blackpool at the top of Vodkat League Division One after a 6-0 victory over Oldham Boro at Pavilions.Town went ahead after 33 minutes with Tony Wynne scoring from close range after Connor Anderson's shot was saved. Three minutes later Mark McGrath's run through the centre was halted by the last defender with Anderson tapping in to make it two. Anderson makes it three just before half time with Warren Bellew's corner headed goalwards by Danny Dalton, with Anderson tapping it in from two yards. Dalton makes it 4-0 with a header after 51 minutes from another Bellew corner, before Anderson grabbed his hat-trick from the spot following a foul on Wynne after 70 minutes. Wynne grabs his second after 82 minutes, racing past the last defender before scoring in off the right hand post. Town's good day was complete with the news filtering through that Blackpool had lost 3-2 at Chadderton, with the gap at the top now six points with Town having a game in hand.
