ROD NAMED MANAGER OF THE MONTH

Runcorn Town Reserves manager Rod Looker has today been named as the West Cheshire League Manager of the Month for September.

Rod's team had a 100% in the month with four league wins and progression in the West Cheshire Shield, although perhaps the clincher was not just the wins but the manner of them. Four of the wins came away from home with the team scoring an astonishing 25 goals in the five games.

They started the month with a 6-0 win at Blacon Youth Club Reserves, before winning 3-2 at the same ground a week later in the Shield. A close 3-2 win at Hale followed before two thumping wins to complete the month - an 8-0 home win against Capenhurst Villa Reserves and a 6-0 win yesterday at Upton.

Everyone at the club congratulates Rod on this award.
