TOWN HELD BY HALTON, RESERVES WIN
Runcorn Town were held to a disappointing goalless draw at Pavilions in the derby game with Halton, with the strong wind the main winner in the game.

Both teams created chances in the first half, with Adam Horrocks for Halton and Stevie Dee for Town both rattling the woodwork, but the second half was lacklustre for both teams with a draw probably the fair result overall.

The result still moves Town closer to the top two with Heswall's game against Christleton postponed, with West Kirby winning 5-1 against Pensby. Another boost for Town was Maghull's 2-1 over Capenhurst, with Town travelling to Maghull next week.

Meanwhile Town Reserves travelled back from Willaston Reserves with a good 3-1 win thanks to goals from Dean Ramanouski, Ged Bushell and Connor Taylor.

The result moves them up to fourth, overtaking Merseyside Police who lost 2-1 at home to Manor Athletic. Grange Athletic also won.
