TOWN STROLL INTO LAST 32
Runcorn Town progressed into the last 32 of the FA Carlsberg Vase after a 3-0 win at Gornal Athletic in Round Three.

In a close game with chances at either end, Gornal went close with a header against the bar and a shot which Darren Kinsey cleared off the line. Karl Wills also pulled off a good save diving at the feet of a Gornal forward.

However Town came back into the game with Marvin Molyneux and Kinsey both testing the home side from free kicks. Town went ahead after 43 minutes with Ian Robinson heading in Warren Bellew's corner from the right hand side.

The second half saw lots of Gornal pressure with Town putting in a great performance with some superb tackling, with the back four immense. Town added a second on 81 minutes with a superb ball over the top finding Jason Carey, with the forward showing great control before lobbing the keeper from 22 yards.

The third came in the 90th minute with Town scoring on the break. Marvin Molyneux burst through with the keeper making a good save, with Emini Adegbenro on hand to slot the ball home.
