GORNAL / WIGAN ROBIN PARK UPDATE Tomorrow evening's match in the FA Carlsberg Vase at Gornal Athletic has once again fallen victim to the weather with a frozen pitch ruling out the third attempt at playing the tie.The pitch has still not yet recovered from the recent bad weather, with the West Midlands area hit far worse than here over recent weeks. The FA have ruled that another attempt must be made on Saturday, with a kick off time at 3.00pm. However the weather forecast from the BBC gives temperatures well below freezing once again from Thursday evening, with the game already in doubt. With this in mind, the Vodkat League have agreed to keep Saturday's home game against Wigan Robin Park ON, with the pitch at Pavilions perfectly playable this afternoon. The forecast does not look good for Runcorn either later this week and the game may yet not go ahead, but it at least gives us the option of playing only our second league game since the end of October. We would like to thank the Vodkat League for their co-operation in this matter. Posted at 21:49 on Monday 13th December 2010 - Viewed 821 times |
