BURTON WINS MANAGER OF MONTH AWARD

Runcorn Town Manager Simon Burton's leadership over the last month has been recognised after winning the Vodkat League Division One Manager of the Month for November.

After three close calls in the last few months, including being incorrectly given the award in August before it was withdrawn, Simon has finally won the award after going through the month unbeaten.

A 2-1 win against Premier Division side Congleton Town in the Vodkat League Challenge Cup was almost followed up by the clubs' biggest scalp to date against Evo-Stik League side Warrington Town.

An own goal two minutes from normal time gave Warrington an equaliser with the Evo-Stik League side winning 4-2 on penalties after extra time.

Town's adventure in the FA Vase then continued with a 2-0 win at Eccleshill United in the Second Round, with Town also winning their only league match of the month at Eccleshall which they won 3-1.

Congratulations to Simon (and of course Salty too!) from everybody at the club. Well deserved!
