TOWN BEAT RELENTLESS CONGLETON
Runcorn Town Reserves moved back to the top of Cheshire League Division Two after eventually overcoming a Congleton Town Reserves side who refused to lie down.

Early goals from Rob Gorry and Tony Wynne put Town 2-0 up with Congleton pulling one back seconds before half time.

Ryan Malone's first goal for Town restored the two goal lead with an intelligent finish, with Congleton again reducing the defecit.

Barry Angell then got in on the act with his first Town goal, a 20-yard lob that flew into the top corner, but back came Congleton with two quick fire goals to make the scores 4-4.

Town were not to be denied though with first team manager Simon Burton putting in a cameo appearance with a shot from an acute angle on the left which flew into the net.

Kick off is at 3.00pm.
