It is always unfortunate when players pick up injuries but in the case of Towns Karl Kneale it was a gutted Rod Looker who found out that his influential centre back had picked up a serious cruciate knee ligament injury whilst playing for his Sunday side, the diagnosis being Kneale will now need surgery to repair the damage and will almost definitely miss the rest of the season.
All the players, management teams and committee at Town wish Karl a full and speedy recovery and hope to have him back at the club in training once he is given the all clear to start his rehabilitation.
Following Saturdays fine win against Denton Town a clearly upset Richie Hargreaves informed reserve team manager Rod Looker that he would be seeking to find himself a new club as he wanted more regular football, Looker suggested having some games with the Town youth team which he is still eligible to play for and he said he would consider it, if however he does choose to leave, the club wishes him all the best and would welcome him back at the club should he wish to return in the future.
Finally the Town Reserve team management are hopeful that what has become, a long running transfer saga will be resolved successfully this week and an exciting new addition will finally get the go ahead to start his Town career, more news when available.
