RUNCORN CUP DRAW NEWS

Runcorn Town Reserves face a trip to West Cheshire League Three pacesetters Runcorn Linnets Reserves in the First Round of the Runcorn Saturday Cup after the draw was announced at the weekend.

Town will come across several familiar faces at Linnets with no less than nine of their squad having played for Town in the past, including Dave Jolley, Josh Rizzotti and Ste Whitfield who were with Town Reserves last season.

The Reserves tie will take place on 12th December 2010, with the winners facing Halfway Celtic in the Quarter Finals early next year.

Already in the Quarter Finals are Runcorn Town Youth, who are entering the competition for the first time. They have been handed a tough draw against Runcorn Albion at Pavilions.

Meanwhile the Under 12's have also been drawn against Linnets in the Runcorn Under 12's Cup. This is open to clubs in the Under 11's and Under 12's leagues, with Town travelling to Inter Linnets U11's team.

The Juniors tie will take place on 12th December 2010.
