A second half double from Ged Bushell saw Runcorn Town Reserves beat FOCUS in tonight's West Cheshire League Three match.
Despite dominating in the first half, Town were unable to convert their chances into goals and went in goalless at the break. The opening goal came seven minutes into the second half when Paul Illidge's long ball was flicked on by Craig Beech into the path of Bushell, with the striker taking it past the keeper and scoring into an empty net.
Two minutes later Beech should have made it two after Danny Cummins' cross found him unmarked at the back post but he volleyed wide when he could have had a touch.
Beech made amends in the 68th minute when he ran onto a Reece Conlan through ball and advanced to the byline before crossing low to an unmarked Bushell at the back post to double the lead.
