TOWN CRUISE TO TOP OF LEAGUE
Runcorn Town cruised to the top of West Cheshire League One after a 6-0 win over Ellesmere Port at Pavilions. Matty Jones hit the opener on the half hour after the keeper failed to hold a Shaun Tierney shot, with Adam Carden doubling the lead ten minutes later with a well worked goal.

After the break it was all Town, with Tierney making it three from the spot after a handball in the box, with Ryan Wade hitting the fourth, a low shot from 25-yards that found the bottom left corner.

Tierney made it five from close range after good work from Will Dolan, with Billy Sutton grabbing the sixth in the box from Kyle Marsid's right wing cross.

Meanwhile the reserves also went goal crazy as they hit five unanswered first half goals in a 6-1 win over Ellesmere Port Reserves. Aaron Brown got a hat-trick, with Danny Cummins, Craig Beech and John Coady also on target.
