TOWN RESERVES WIN TO GO SECOND
Runcorn Town Reserves made it three away wins on the trot to move up into second place in the Cheshire Football League Div 2 although a number of teams have games in hand on them.

Goals from Jack Burbidge and Jon McEvoy gave them a 2-0 half time lead and Scott Swales added a third in the second half, but stand in keeper Paul Illidge was unlucky to conceded a consolation goal for Malpas when a header went past him as he lost the flight of the ball in the sun.

This was not a very convincing win and it must be said that at least the team managed to take all three points despite not playing paricularly well.
