RESERVES RETURN TO WINNING WAYS
Town reserves got back on the winning trail away at Maine Road Reserves today thanks to goals from Tom Lupton who headed in a delightful Rob Gorry cross to score his first goal for the club since joining in the summer and Scott Swales sealed the win midway through the second half when he beat the offside trap to latch onto Barry Angell's raking through ball, the big striker calmly placed the ball into the net with a first time effort past the advancing keeper.
Town played out the last twenty minutes with ten men when skipper Karl Kneale became the second Town representative to be sent off following manager Rod Looker for an early bath, Looker was ordered out of the technical area for questioning a throw in decision which clearly should have been a Town throw, as for Karl Kneale he was sent for a remark he made to an opponent, the decision not being the first to anger the Town players for it has to be said that the official was completley concerned with making himself the centre of attention all afternoon and with the numerical advantage Maine Road did get a consolation goal with two minutes left to play.
