Honours were even against the cream of Cheshire Under 18's in last night's friendly at Pavilions, with a Runcorn Town XI equalising late on despite being two goals ahead in the first half.
Town fielded a squad containing players aged 21 or under with the notable exception of 23-year old Dave Roberts (who still needs match fitness), with Town's starting defence averaging just 17 years old.
Town went ahead through Jack Burbidge following good work from Will Conway, with Cameron Bradley heading in Town's second after 40 minutes.
Cheshire pulled one back just before half time to go in at the break 2-1 behind, and further goals in the second half put them ahead for the first time. Emini Adegbenro secured Town a draw on the night with his sixth goal of the season.
