PARKGATE TO HOST TOWN'S VASE DEBUT
Runcorn Town's first ever game in the FA Carlsberg Vase will be an away trip to KoolSport Northern Counties East side Parkgate FC.

Rotherham based Parkgate, who play in their Premier Division which is the equivalent to the Vodkat Premier Division, have had a good start to the season and are unbeaten in their six games played.

In the league they have won two and drew the other, and they are still in both FA competitions. In the FA Cup they won 2-0 at Vodkat Premier side Ashton Athletic before recording a 3-1 win at Staveley Miners Welfare, and now face Warrington Town at home next Saturday in the First Qualifying Round.

In the FA Vase, they overcame another Vodkat Premier League side on Saturday when they beat Congleton Town 4-2 in front of 80 spectators. Parkgate took an early lead after 13 minutes, and that's how it stayed until the 68th minute when two goals in three minutes made it 3-0.

Congleton pulled one back from the spot with 15 minutes remaining with the home side going straight up the other end to make it 4-1. Congleton scored a consolation with five minutes to go.

Town travel to Parkgate a week on Saturday, kick off 3.00pm.
