Runcorn Town Youth are still searching for their first home victory of the season after losing 2-1 to Runcorn Linnets Youth with a late winner from being the difference between the two sides.
Linnets took the lead towards the end of the first half from the penalty spot with Danny Hesketh finding the bottom right hand corner with a confident strike.
Town equalised midway through the second half with Lee Turklington bursting through the middle before holding off a defender and slotting past the visiting keeper.
The winner came with just four minutes remaining amid some controversy with Town claiming a handball in the box from a throw in on the left. The referee waved play on with Joey Ubido following up to fire an unstoppable shot into the far corner to seal all three points.
